Class Description:
Learn to Play Hockey 1 - Intro to Hockey Skating (ages 5-10)

Discover, Learn and Play! This introductory level allows new skaters with no prior skating experience to build confidence while learning to skate.

• Boys and girls with little or no prior skating experience.

• Each new skaters will receive head-to-toe equipment to keep!

• Skills emphasized at this level:
  • Balance
  • Forward Skating
  • Backwards Skating
  • Stopping

January 2026 session dates - Wednesdays, January 7-February 25, 2026. 8-week session.

This introductory class allows new skaters with little or no prior skating experience to build confidence while learning to skate. This first stage teaches the fundamentals of ice skating and provides the best foundation for hockey. Skaters will be introduced to forward and backward skating and stops. Fun and games make this experience for your kids positive, enjoyable and memorable. Upon completion of this level, skaters will be able to confidently progress to Hockey 2.
